 WHAT IS PEPPER SPRAY?
All of our Pepper Sprays are made with OC (Oleoresin Capsicum).
OC is an inflammatory agent that is made from a variety of hot pepper plants and is therefore non-toxic and causes no permanent damage. It will usually take about a half-hour for it's effects to wear off, leaving you with plenty of time to hasten a quick escape.
OC begins working instantly as it dilates the eye capillaries and causes temporary blindness. It also causes an intense coughing attack as the OC enters the throat and the inflames breathing tissue. The attacker is still able to breath so it isn't life threatening, but very painful and uncomfortable.
Our Pepper Sprays come in five different forms each with their own advantages and disadvantages; The STREAM, SPRAY, FOG, FOAM and GEL.

| STREAM |
Advantages
The stream has a much greater range than the others, up to 20 feet.
Unlikely to be affected by strong winds and blow back into the users direction.
The stream can be shot directly into an assailants face, making it extremely effective. |
Disadvantages
Although the stream has a greater range, the user must be accurate in their aim, which may be difficult for some people given the stress of the situation.
If the attacker is within a few feet it may be extremely difficult to get an accurate shot to the face. |
| SPRAY |
Advantages
Because the spray has a wide spray pattern the user doesn't have to be accurate with their aim, especially at close range.
The spray has the effect of creating a barrier that an attacker must travel through to get to you. |
Disadvantages
The range for a typical spray is anywhere from 4 to 8 feet meaning a potential attacker can get closer to you than you would prefer.
The spray may be less effective in windy situations. The wind may blow the spray away from the attacker or worse, it could blow back in your direction.

| FOGGER |
Advantages
Fogger sprays are under high pressure which means the range is almost as good as the stream, about 15 feet.
Foggers are not affected very much by winds because they are very fine mist.
Creates a barrier similar to the spray model.
Because it creates a mist barrier that hovers in the air for several minutes, it's effective for use against multiple attackers. |
Disadvantages
Because Foggers are under high pressure and they shoot out out a larger amount of chemical than the other two, you will have fewer shots to fire than the stream or the spray. |
| PEPPER FOAM |
Advantages
Sticks to an attacker's face
Includes a UV dye to make it easy for law enforcement to ID the attacker.
Range is good at 8 to 10 feet. |
Disadvantages
Doesn't create a barrier like the Spray or Fogger
User must be aim accurately to hit an attacker in the face |
| PEPPER GEL |
Advantages
Sticks like glue to an attacker's face
Marks the attacker's face for law enforcement identification
Excellent 18 foot range |

Pepper spray is a great choice for self protection because it can keep an attacker several feet away from you, it's easy to use and convenient to carry.
